Sensi Peel® Exfoliating Treatment

These peels are formulated primarily for ethnic skin, and other extremely sensitive skin types such as rosacea prone skin. Sensi Peels will strengthen and brighten the skin while helping to treat sun damage and other forms of hyperpigmentation (skin discoloration). This multi-faceted treatment also provides anti-inflammatory, anti-acne and antibacterial action, making it an excellent choice for helping calm rosacea, as redness and inflammation can subside substantially after treatment.

Ultra Peel® I Exfoliating Treatment
Specially formulated to treat dehydrated, maturing skin, Ultra Peel® I is also appropriate for many skin types, conditions and sensitivities. It will help treat smoker’s skin, pigment disorders, sun damaged skin and acne. This treatment is especially ideal for sensitive skin, as it produces only a mild tingling sensation. Moderate to aggressive exfoliation will be experienced, depending on the number of layers applied. Overall, the final result will be plump, hydrated and ultra-soft skin.

Ultra Peel® II Exfoliating Treatment

This advanced hydrating treatment will encourage additional flaking and peeling, and may be used alone or on top of any other PCA Professional™ chemical peel to produce a tightening and brightening effect. It is a cream mask containing natural phytohormones which plump, hydrate and moisturize aging skin. The retinol (vitamin A) content helps increase cell turnover to keep skin looking fresh, while vitamin C strengthens the skin by helping to increase the skin’s collagen and elastin network. Ultra Peel® II works well on all skin types and conditions.

PCA Peel® Hydroquinone Free Exfoliating Treatment
This peel is ideal for more sensitive skin types, ethnic skin and/or those allergic to hydroquinone. This treatment will help unclog pores, clear acne and rejuvenate the skin. With its blend of alpha and beta hydroxy acids and brighteners, it is also an excellent choice for maintaining even pigmentation and correcting pigment discolorations for those with hydroquinone sensitivities.

PCA Peel® with Hydroquinone Exfoliating Treatment
This formula is for those who want even skin tone and have no sensitivity to hydroquinone. It will help to quickly lighten pigment discolorations of any kind, such as melasma and sun damage. In addition, this peel helps inhibit active acne and correct post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (skin discoloration) from acne.

PCA Peel® with Hydroquinone & Resorcinol Exfoliating Treatment
The most potent PCA Peel® formula, this peel will even skin tone and provide more exfoliation for oilier, thicker and more resilient skin types. It is effective on extremely sun damaged and thickened skin. It is also excellent for those with active/cystic acne and asphyxiated skin (dry on the surface, oily underneath).

MicroNeedling

New Service

$150 for Face up to $190 for neck and other areas

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that’s used to treat skin concerns via collagen production. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment may help those looking to reduce the appearance of acne scars and stretch marks.

It’s also used in certain anti-aging procedures, such as eyelid surgery and sun spots. Microneedling isn’t effective for hair loss, despite the possible role of collagen in hair growth.

How does microneedling work?

Microneedling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin and that the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue.

This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.

Procedure for microneedling:

During the procedure, your Technician makes small pricks under the skin with a pen-like tool. The pinpricks are so small that you likely won’t notice them after the procedure. your Technician will move the tool evenly across your skin so that the new skin that rejuvenates will be even, too.

Before getting started, your Technician will use a topical anesthetic to reduce the chances of pain. This is done about an hour before your treatment.

Targeted areas for microneedling:

Microneedling is most often used on your face to target:

  • acne scars

  • age spots (also called “sun spots”)

  • fine lines and wrinkles

  • large pores

  • other types of scarsTrusted Source

  • reduced skin elasticity

  • uneven skin tone

In addition to facial concerns, microneedling is sometimes used to treat stretch marks in other areas of the body. One studyTrusted Source found that microneedling was effective for stretch marks on the thighs and abdominal area when combined with fillers.

Scarring on other body parts may also be treated with this procedure. However, microneedling is primarily used on the face.

Are there any risks or side effects?

Like all cosmetic procedures, microneedling has some side affects. The most common side effect is minor skin irritation immediately following the procedure. You may also see redness for a few days. As the skin is healing itself, you may notice the following:

  • bleeding

  • bruising

  • infection

  • peeling

You may not be an ideal candidate for microneedling if you:

  • are pregnant

  • have certain skin diseases, such as psoriasis or eczema

  • have open wounds

  • have had radiation therapy recently

  • have a history of skin scars

What to expect after microneedling:

Microneedling isn’t invasive like plastic surgery, so the recovery time is minimal. Most people require very little downtime, if any at all.

You may notice skin irritation and redness within the first few days following the procedure. This is a natural response to the small “injuries” made by the needles in your skin. Your skin will also be more sensitive to the sun, so sunscreen is a must.

After microneedling, your skin works fairly quickly to rejuvenate new tissue. In theory, you should see results within a couple of weeks.

To maintain the results of your treatment, you’ll need multiple sessions and perhaps other complementing treatments. Your Technician will advise you on the best plan of action based on your individual goals.

Preparing for microneedling:

Before the procedure, talk to your Technician about ways you can prepare so you have the best possible outcome. You may need to stop taking certain medications, such as ibuprofen and those for acne treatment, well in advance of the procedure.

Your doctor may also recommend that you stop using topical retinoids beforehand too. Doing so may reduce the risk of certain side effects.

Microneedling vs. home rollers:

Microneedling is a professional procedure that’s performed in a board-certified Technician’s office only. In an effort to save money, some people opt for home rollers instead. Unlike professional microneedling, rollers don’t puncture the skin hardly at all.

While this might seem a less painful option, the problem is that you won’t achieve the same results. The punctures made during professional microneedling are designed to induce skin rejuvenation.

Electrolysis - facial Hair Removal

$35 for 15 Minutes

What is electrolysis?
Electrology is the science of permanent hair removal. Using state-of-the-art technology, a minute amount of electricity is gently applied to the base of the hair follicle. This process destroys the hair growth tissue. Therefore, the regenerative ability of the hair follicle is permanently eliminated.
How many treatments are required?

The number of treatments necessary varies with each client. Treatment sessions can range from 15 minutes to more than an hour depending on the area being treated.

Factors such as hair growth cycles, the quantity and structure of hair presented, previous use of temporary hair removal methods, heredity, hormone function, certain medication and stress influence the treatment program for each individual. It is important to follow the recommended treatment plan to achieve optimum results.

Are all hairs eliminated in one treatment or is regrowth to be expected?

Excessive hair growth, known as hirsutism can range from fine, vellus hair to dark, coarse hair on the face and body. Deep, coarse hairs cannot always be eliminated with one treatment; thus, breaking down the hair growth cells may require additional treatments. Based on a personal and confidential consultation, your electrologist will design a treatment plan that addresses your specific hair removal needs.

Does electrolysis have any side effects on the skin?

Immediately following treatment, there may be slight redness, which varies with each individual. The latest technology has made electrolysis more comfortable and effective than ever before. Your electrologist will provide you with post treatment instructions and the personal attention you need. You are assured to have the best care from a skilled hair removal professional.

Can hairs be removed from moles?

Electrolysis can be performed in most moles where licensing regulations allow it. Your electrologist may require written approval from your physician.
